Character Information
Name: Laura Kinney
Codename: Talon/X-23
Age/DOB: 17/unknown
Affiliations: X-men
Occupation: Student

Physical Traits:
5'6", slim, small-framed, fit, straight black hair, green eyes, and Adamantium-laced claws: pairs for each hand, and one for each foot.

Powers:
Get ready to be impressed:
Talon possesses the ability to regenerate damaged or destroyed areas of her cellular structure at a superhuman rate, which varies in direct proportion with the severity of the damage she suffers. Despite the extent of her healing factor, Talon is not immortal. Injuries that result in the loss of vital organs, large amounts of blood, and/or loss of physical form are potentially lethal for her. Talon's natural healing also affords her virtual immunity to poisons and most drugs, as well as an enhanced resistance to diseases and the fatigue poisons generated by bodily activity. Hence, her endurance, agility and reflexes are enhanced. Talon also possesses superhumanly acute senses, allowing her to see and hear things at an extended distance. She is able to recognize people and objects by scent, even if that person or object is hidden, and can use these enhanced senses to track any creature with an impressive degree of success. Talon's skeleton includes two retractable bone claws in each arm and one in each foot that she can extend and retract at will. These claws are housed beneath the skin and muscle. Unsheathing them causes her skin to tear and bleed, but the wounds are quickly dealt with by her healing factor. Talon can unsheathe any number of these claws at once, although she must keep her wrists and/or feet straight at the moment the claws emerge. The claws are naturally sharp, tougher than normal human bone and have been coated with Adamantium, allowing Talon to cut through most types of flesh and natural materials. Presumably, because Talon is a clone of the mutant Wolverine, her healing factor will also provide her with an extended lifespan by slowing the effects of the aging process.

Due to her extensive training as a top-secret operative, Talon is a master of multiple forms of martial arts, and is an expert in assassination techniques.

Talon's claws have been coated with the nigh-indestructible metal Adamantium. As a result, her claws are virtually unbreakable and are capable of cutting through almost any substance depending on its thickness and the amount of force she can exert. Due to her healing factor, the presence of Adamantium in her body does not interfere with her bones' normal function of generating blood corpuscles.

Personality:
Laura is very taciturn and usually quiet, only speaking when she is spoken to or when she has something indispensable to say. She is anti-social and usually plays the part of the wallflower in any situation.

She has adopted questionable morals from her training, a sort of "kill or be killed" approach to any situation. However, she is highly protective when she does care about someone and extremely loyal on top of that.

Laura is a bit rough around the edges to cover up her emotional vulnerability as well as a result of many years of self-imposed loneliness, although no one will never hear her say so. She's prone to stating the obvious, making clipped observant remarks, telling everything like it is, and running from her problems. She is usually very serious, but she does have a morbid sense of humor not many understand.

Backgrounder/History:
Laura Kinney is a successful product of experimentation. For the first critical developmental years of her life, Laura was X-23 -- a genetic female twin of Wolverine and a trained assassin. That was her only purpose, ingrained in her since birth along with conditioning: for important targets or ones in which she could not be trusted to kill, Laura was conditioned to respond to a Trigger scent, a liquid that once she smells sends her on a murderous rampage of any in contact with it. The Facility can claim the honor of her creation and skills, if she hadn't destroyed the building and everyone in it before she escaped. Her mother, Sarah Kinney -- a doctor of the Facility -- felt guilty of her involvement in her daughter's brainwashing and creation and planned as well as initiated the escape. However, her mother had previously come in contact with the Trigger scent and Laura ultimately killed her.

After leaving The Facility, Laura stayed with her Aunt Debbie and her cousin, Megan. Eventually the Facility -- or primarily, Kimura, her keeper of sorts -- found her. The three escaped by a hair and Laura left Debbie and Megan -- her first and only true friend, it seems -- to protect them. She sought out Logan, who gave her a few helpful pieces of advice and a copy of her mother's last letter to her. Captain America soon after captured her for multiple murders while she was with the Facility and then released her to return to Xavier's. From there she took to the streets and ended up prostituting herself and eventually helping a teenage mutant girl named Kiden.

Her subsequent killing of her pimp Zebra Daddy to protect Kiden and her newfound friends left Laura with no place to live. She had no shelter available to her and wandered off from her tentative friendships with Kiden and Catiana, more comfortable with her own solitude. Yet she ended up at the mansion's doorstep instead.

Wolverine took her in and roomed her with Kitty, the only mutant who wouldn't have to worry about Laura's claws. The two girls became quick friends, and let me tell you: they are adoooorable.

Laura is still mostly adjusting to not killing people on a regular basis and not running from her past. She trains frequently with Logan and has been known to smile sometimes, especially when Kitty decides it's a sleepover night.

Unfortunately, other than Kitty, Laura doesn't have too many friends. As in she has none. Maybe that will change?

Additionally, she totally has a crush on Bobby.
